Mohari acquired 550 Wellington in 2017 and announced a partnership with 1 Hotels in August 2019 to transform and rebrand the hotel into a luxury and sustainable 1 Hotels retreat, the first of its kind in Canada. Following major redevelopment, the 1 Hotel Toronto is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2020.
