Cyprus Seeds is a non-profit with the mission to slow down the brain drain of highly skilled Cypriots by helping academic teams in Cypriot universities and research centres commercialize their innovative research, resulting in increased employment opportunities in Cyprus. To achieve its mission, Cyprus Seeds offers grants, mentoring, business skills training and networking opportunities to selected research teams whose projects have strong IP value and global market potential and are focused on addressing global problems. Cyprus Seeds grantees are working on innovations to improve, inter alia, the renewable energy supply, healthcare, food security, water quality, and to preserve Cyprus’ cultural heritage. Mohari is supporting research projects in the 3rd cycle of Cyrus Seeds programme.
Mohari Hospitality is supporting Sistema Cyprus, a social-music orchestra and choir programme that provides accessible music education to children and young people living in challenging circumstances in Cyprus. With Mohari’s support, Sistema Cyprus will have greater security and stability with a new permanent home in Nicosia for classes, rehearsals and an office. In 2022, Mohari will also support Sistema Cyprus’ ambitions to set up a second symphony orchestra in Nicosia, thereby supporting hundreds more children in Cyprus.
