Mohari Hospitality Becomes Sole Owner of Four Seasons Hotel Madrid in Centro Canalejas

Transaction reflects Mohari’s long-term conviction in Madrid as one of Europe’s defining luxury destinations

Madrid – April 29, 2026 – Mohari Hospitality (“Mohari”), a global investor focused on the ownership and long-term development of luxury hospitality assets, announced today it has become the sole owner of the hotel operated by Four Seasons in Centro Canalejas Madrid, the retail unit currently leased to Hermès and an associated underground parking facility. Financial details have not been disclosed.

Mohari and OHLA have co-owned the Canalejas complex since 2017 and will continue to maintain a strong relationship as neighbouring stakeholders within the development.

Sole ownership of the hotel gives Mohari strategic oversight of a property that has become central to Madrid’s identity as a world-class hospitality destination.

This milestone reflects Mohari’s long-standing conviction in Madrid as a major European luxury destination. Having been an early investor in the repositioning of Centro Canalejas, Mohari’s transition to sole ownership represents a continuation of that strategy and a further commitment to the asset and the city.

From the outset, we saw Madrid as one of Europe’s most compelling luxury markets, and Centro Canalejas as a defining asset within it,” said Mark Scheinberg, Founder and Principal of Mohari Hospitality. “Taking full ownership allows us to continue shaping the long-term trajectory of the property, building on our long-standing partnership with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and ensuring its continued strength over time.”

Opened in 2020 as the first Four Seasons property in Spain, Four Seasons Hotel Madrid has become a reference point for luxury hospitality in the city and a central part of its international appeal.

Madrid welcomed a total of 839,705 visitors in February, up 4.9% year-on-year, according to data published by the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE). Of these, 463,583 were international visitors, representing a 12.5% annual increase and accounting for 55% of the total. International tourism spending reached €1.166 billion, up 2.46% compared to February 2025. Cumulatively, spending for the first two months of the year totalled €2.775 billion, marking a 9.7% increase versus the same period last year.
