NEW YORK (June 9, 2025) – Mohari Hospitality announced the appointment of Darrel Owens as Head of Development. In this role, Owens wil9l oversee Mohari’s global development projects, ensuring the delivery of world-class hospitality destinations across the company’s portfolio.

Owens brings a wealth of global experience in the retail, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors, with deep expertise in technical due diligence, pre-development planning, and managing design and construction teams. Prior to joining Mohari, he spent more than a decade at Starwood Capital as Head of Development, leading hospitality projects across Europe and selected U.S. locations.

Owens served as Director at Aedas Architects for over a decade, where he worked on large-scale developments and honed his architectural and project management skills. He is a certified architect with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects worldwide.

Owens holds a Master’s in Architecture from The University of Huddersfield. He is based in London.
