Madrid, 24th December 2020 – The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, part of Centro Canalejas and one of the flagship investments of Mohari Hospitality, has unveiled a stunning Christmas Pop-Up in the heart of the hotel, to welcome in the festive season in Madrid. The Pop-Up, located in El Patio, the lobby of the hotel, will operate under strict safety regulations, so that visitors can enjoy the season in a unique and safe way.
In partnership with the London-based creative group Banana Split and the local technical production firm Light Project, the hotel’s façade has been elegantly dressed with an impressive 25m-high Christmas tree, whilst the hotel’s lobby has been transformed with majestic decorations and illuminations fitting for the season.
El Patio will become the hotel’s focal point for the festive season as the team has brought to life a pop-up experience showcasing Isa, an Asian-fusion concept restaurant that will be opening in the hotel’s first floor during 2021. Guests will also enjoy live performances by local pianists and DJs, food and other activities from early morning until closing each day.
As part of this Christmas event, Mohari and Four Seasons Madrid are supporting two local charities. Firstly, the hotel will offer different products on its menus, including a specially designed cocktail called Ringo Sí, with proceeds being donated to Hogar Sí’, a local charity that supports homeless people and aims to ensure that no one lives on the street. Mohari Hospitality, which has provided financial support to Hogar Sí since January 2019, will double all donations received at www.hogarsi.org/fsmadrid-engand at the hotel from 18th December to 9th January.
Secondly, Mohari and Four Seasons Madrid will support TaxiLuz, an initiative launched in 2016, that aims to bring Christmas closer to the elderly. Completely free of charge, up to 400 Madrid taxi drivers pick up the elderly at their residential care facility, at elderly day centres or at their homes and take them through the illuminated centre of Madrid for an hour before dropping them back home. This year will be a bit different, with the elderly residing in residential care facilities unable to participate. Mohari is supporting the additional cost of health and safety measures for the taxi drivers and passengers and is encouraging the drivers to make a stop at Four Seasons Madrid where both drivers and passengers will be offered a surprise Christmas gift.
